Continue conducting your research of the major events of the Civil Rights Movement for the years 1954-1968
Remember you must have 3 events per year, unless there were less than 3 events that occurred. If nothing happened in a given year (like 1956) you can skip it.
Below are the websites I gave you to start off on. Remember these are a stating point to help you choose your events. You then must research each event further.
You should have 3-4 important facts about each event or person on your timeline

Step 2: Read and annotate the article using our "Readers Show Their Thinking" symbols (*Important Info, ?Confusing, !Surprising or Interesting Info, <3 Favorite Facts)
Step 3: Write a 1 sentence statement identifying the main idea of each section. (This can be done on a separate sheet of paper or right on the document)
